Election Night Dinner & Screening Party

  • Nowadays Ridgewood (map)

This Tuesday get out there and VOTE!!!

And then join us at Nowadays for a dinner in support of the campaign of council member Rafael Espinal for NYC. The dinner will be accompanied with a talk by Espinal about how we can all become engaged in political movements that enact real change instead of being stuck in cyclical futile attempts at activism.

Rafael Espinal, while mostly known in our nightlife community for scrapping the archaic Cabaret Law, has made great strides in protecting our environment while creating a more sustainable city for us to live in. He has a strong focus on legislation to create new food sources, reduce waste, lower our carbon footprint through green infrastructure and push for renewable energy. He recently introduced a bill to ban plastic straws city wide and at will be sharing ways we can all get involved in protecting our planet from a political stance.

In order to reserve your seat at dinner, make a donation of at least $35 to Espinal’s campaign.

After dinner, Nowadays will be screening the results of the anticipated midterm elections on the big screen and all are welcome to join regardless of if you were a part of the dinner or not!

We’re looking forward to preparing a locally sourced meal for everyone, and seeing some new and familiar faces in the spirit of political activism! All proceeds from the dinner will directly benefit the campaign of council member Rafael Espinal.

Feed you soon!
